This piece has found its home. It is kept here as a record of what has passed through our hands.

A traditional Japanese wooden sword stand (katanakake) crafted with intricate openwork carving, dating to the late Taishō period or early Shōwa period (pre-war, circa 1920–1940s). This five-sword stand features elegant cut-out designs of birds in flight over flowing water, flanked by stylized cloud motifs. At the center is a gilt floral crest within a hexagonal frame, adding a refined decorative touch. The warm, natural wood tones and visible patina speak to its age and authenticity, making it both a functional display and a collectible piece for Japanese sword enthusiasts. The stand shows some wear consistent with age, contributing to its antique character.
